Under the Green Initiative of the Government, the University has started a high tech centralized solar cooking system for providing food to all the hostel dwellers. Mass food is cooked at one place using solar steam and is distributed in various boys and girls hostels. The food is cooked by using steam generated by solar energy which enhances the food flavour and also reduces the cost for cooking ultimately benefitting the students.
