Central Students Association (CSA)

Under Academic Regulations, there is provision of Constitution of Central Students Association of the University. All the regular and bonafide students of each constituent College except foreign and inservice students studying in various degree prorammes are the members of Central Students Association. The students enrolled in short-term courses, certificate or diploma courses or any other courses leading to a degree are not entitled for membership of the Central Students Association. Each member of the Association pays an annual subscription fee and all those who pay the fee are form general body of the Association. The Central Students Association consists of Class Representatives of each Class in each constituent College.

University has a Gymnasium for indoor games like Volley Ball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Boxing, Basket Ball etc.

Academics – 

One student of the final year class of the Undergraduate programme having secured the highest OGPA in his/ her class at the end of his/her pre-final year of each College provided he/ she has not been awarded ‘F’ grade in any course  is nominated by respective Dean.

 

One student of the second year of the M.Sc. programme having secured the highest OGPA at the end of his/ her Ist year of each College provided he/she has completed atleast           25 credit hours of his/her course work and has not been awarded ‘F’ grade in any course is nominated by the respective Dean.

 

One student of Ph.D. Programme having secured the highest OGPA at the end of his/ her fourth semester of each College provided he/she has cleared  atleast 25 credit hours of his/her course work and has not been awarded ‘F’ grade in any course is nominated by the concerned  Dean.

 

One representative is nominated by the Students Welfare Officer amongst the outstanding sportsmen/ women from each college.

 

One representative is nominated by the Students Welfare Officer amongst the outstanding student excelling in various clubs and co-curricular activities from each college.

The President and Joint Secretary are from one College and Vice President and General Secretary from other College and as per Academic Regulation the posts of President and Joint Secretary are rotate yearly starting with College of Horticulture from the Academic Session 2000-2001. The election of Central Students Association is held preferably within a period of six weeks from the of first semester of the academic year.

Anti Ragging Committee

In order to curb the menace of ragging to the Zero Tolerance, particularly in the hostels, the Hostel Anti-ragging Committee is hereby constituted for the each Academic Session. The composition of the committee for the main campus of the University is as below:

  • Chairperson
  • Three Members from Teachers/ Wardens
  • Four Members from Hostellers (2 boys and 2 girls)
