• The technique has been disseminated through OFTs, FLDs, and trainings, thereafter wider adoption by the farmers of Kinnaur district was recorded covering an area of 400ha.

Line sowing of rajmash and pea

• The farmers of district Kinnaur has adopted the technique
• Now in about 750 hectare area,  line sowing is being practised by the farmers of district.
• 12.73 percent increase in yield was recorded as compared to farmers practice.
• Save input cost of pea seed by ~0.95 crore Rupees by saving seed up to 130 MT.

Recommendation of apple cultivars according to elevation

• Enhanced productivity with quality fruits.
• Around 1500 ha has adopted the recommendations.

Sticky bands: an ecofriendly approach

• Yield performance was increased to 109.98 quintal per hectare as compared to the farmers practice (86.34quintal per hectare ).
• Now sticky band became the best strategy for controlling WAA in district Kinnaur.
•  Useful in some area of Pooh Block, where Buddhist philosophy does not allow spray of chemicals.

Managed pollination with introduction of honey bees

• 19.20 percent increase in fruit production.
• Now around 550  ha area has come under this practice.
• Also emerged as an additional source of income and employment generation .

Introduction of button mushroom

• Now the rural youth  of  district Kinnaur has  adopted mushroom cultivation as an additional source of income generation .
•  Sh. Chhatar singh has earned net profit/return of Rs. 168000 from 400 bags .
